Weeds or medicinal herbs?

How much money do we, as a nation, spend on lawn maintenance, trying to rid ourselves of weeds. Dandelions, clover, and other small weeds creep across the lawn no matter how many chemicals we spray on and bindweed and other weeds crawl up fences, hedges and beyond. What if they were trying to speak to us? What if their persistance comes from a message of healing?

Perhaps the "weeds" are trying to get our attention. They tell us, "We can help. We can take care of many of your needs. Listen to us. Listen to those who know our value." I even saw an article on CNN yesterday about medicinal herb classes. There is a simplicity that comes with herbs. We make things incredibly complicated and expensive when they don't need to be. Doctors and medicine still have a vital place in our lives when we are threatened by disease. But for many things, herbs can help us if we will simply listen.
